Dr. Mohammed Haroon Z. Khan Cochlear Implant Program

Dr. Mohammed Haroon Z. Khan. FRCS. Consultant ENT Surgeon, Rochandle, UK.
Dow graduate of 1975; Class of 1977 remembers Dr. Khan as the RMO when we
were preparing for Final MBBS Exam; I personally remember him going out of his
way to show students ENT instruments, knowledge of which was vital for the oral
ENT exam. Dr. Khan is familiar with Class of 1977 ENT specialists Prof. Musheer
Hussain, Prof. Shaukat Malik and late Dr. Usman Daroowala.

Dr. Khan heads IMRA (International Medical Relief Agency). He takes a team of
highly trained and the best in UK Cochlear Implant Surgeons to Pakistan and
operates on them for free, the devices being donated. He has trained teams at
Indus Hospital and Sahiwal and is trying to set up a program at the Jinnah University Hospital.
Has also donated operating microscopes to ENT programs in Pakistan were
there were none and surgeries were being done without this essential tool.
