Professor Mir Abdul Basir was Professor of Physiology at Dow Medical College in the 1950’s. Has later the first principal of Liaquat Medical College, Hyderabad. This information was provided by his grand-daughter Shehla “Lily” Hussain, a dowite 1985.
Prof. Hussain Ahmed was the first Professor of Anesthesiology at Dow and CHK. In fact he established the Department of Anesthesiology at Civil Hospital Karachi. He passed away at the age of 52 years. This information was provided by Shehla “Lily” Hussain, DMC graduate of 1985.
