ABOUT THE GOLDEN JUBILEE

Golden Jubilee of Dow Medical College and Centenary of Civil Hospital Karachi which was held from December 28, 1996 to January 1, 1997 in Karachi, Pakistan.
This Congress was organized in collaboration with the Overseas Doctors Associations and Dow Graduates of North America
KARACHI DECEMBER 28 1996; Polo Ground Baradari: A grand occasion of Golden Jubilee of Dow Medical College Karachi and Centenary of Civil Hospital Karachi; This is the inaugural ceremony presided by Senate Chairman Wasim Sajjad; About 1500 alumni from all over the world attended this historic occasion of two premier institutions of Pakistan. In the photo seated from left are Prof. Iqbal Memon, late Prof. Mohammad Shafi Qureshi who was the Prinicipal of Dow Medical College, Prof. Ali Mohammed Ansari, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Prof. Chaffar Billo, Dean of Medical Faculty Karachi University, Dr. Abbas Khan, CHK Medical Superintendent. Dr. Hamid Zaki Syed also spoke on the occasion. The celebrations lasted till Jan 1 1997 and included medical lectures; Great Event for Dow! (AHK)
