The Historical Account 1945 to 2005:
While every priniciapls of Dow controbuted in the development of Dow all through the years, the brief infroamtion on some of them is provided here. Dr. Col Aziz, is usually referred to as the First Principal. Tragically died on the day at the inauguration of the First DMC Symposium in 1984 . Prof. M. Ali Shah set up the Anatomy Museum. Silver Jubilee of Dow was organized during Prof Wahid tenure by the popular
Prof K. Muin Ahmed. Prof Almani was the graduate of first batch of LMC in 1956. He was ex- Brigadier of AMC. Served as Secretary Health, Sindh. Prof Shafi Qureshy organized the Golden Jubilee in 1996. Six sessions ran simultaneously, first and only time in Pakistan. Was posted as Secretary Health in February 1997. Tragically suffered a high cervical spinal injury in August 1997 as a result of an attempt on his life by the drug/other mafia.
Prof Tipu Sultan set up Surgical ICU during his tenure. Prof Masood Hameed went of to become the first Vice Chancellor of Dow University of Health Sciences. Professor M. M. Hasan graduated MBBS at the age of 18 years, the youngest ever to become a doctor in India in 1944.
